Ove Mikal Pedersen

Ove Mikal Pedersen is a Norwegian musician who started out playing in different rock bands in his teens. Since 1998 he has worked with different bands and musicians as well as written music for film, TV, theater and soundscapes. Between 2001 and 2013 he spent most of his time in Mexico where he played regularly for a living and guided tourists in the marine sanctuaries off the coast while occasionally performing with local names such as Patricia Carrión, Sergio Basurto and Mayca Calvo. Upon return to Norway he got involved with camera work and music for different productions as well as performing with artists Marthe Halvorsen, Ingeborg Oktober, Christer Borg and Erling (Æ) Ramskjell. He currently resides in Andøya, northern Norway, where his life-long passion and interest in marine life has been revived. The access to hydrophones has gotten him thoroughly enthusiastic with their possibilities for use in larger compositions.
